How to verify your own domain with Google Merchant Center

Before using the Google Merchant Center which allows you to show your products on Google, you may be asked to verify and claim your website.

To check, you can visit https://merchants.google.com and you may see a screen like this below.

To start verifying your domain, click the red "Fix it" button.

Now enter your website address as per the directions on screen and click "Continue"

Next Google will check what you need to do to verify your ownership of this domain and give 3 options for verifying. Follow through on whichever method is easiest for you.

Don't forget after verifying to also click to "Claim" your website.

That should be it now, that is all there is to verifying your domain with Google Merchant Center.
